Impact if Approved by the Board of Education
Approximately 55 students from node 140.0 will be reassigned from Cary to the Olive Chapel Elementary and approximately 62 students from node 370.8 will be reassigned from Cary to the new Mills Park Elementary.

Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: No change in capacity is possible at Cary and The Board decided that enrollment be reduced to match capacity.
Crowding: Staff's suggestions will reduce Cary enrollment to the planned capacity for the school.
Healthy Schools: The percentage of low-income families can be reduced from approximately 40% to approximately 27%.
Long Range Planning: Future schools opening in 2009, 2010, and 2011 are not expected to significantly impact the attendance area of this school.
