Impact if Approved by the Board of Education
Approximately 38 students from node 343.1 will be reassigned to Jeffreys Grove, 61 students from node 291.4 to the new Sycamore Creek Elementary, and 22 students from node 029.2 to Green Elementary. Some of the reassigned students will be replaced by reassigning 84 students from node 244.9 from Brentwood to Baileywick.

Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: No change can be made to the capacity at Baileywick.
Crowding: Crowding will be slightly reduced with a net reduction of approximately 37 students.
Healthy Schools: The percentage of low-income families will be maintained at Baileywick at about 26%. The percentage at Brentwood will be reduced slightly and a neighborhood of students from pre-dominantly low-income families will be assigned to the new Sycamore Creek Elementary.
Long Range Planning: Future schools opening in 2009, 2010, and 2011 are not expected to significantly impact the attendance area of this school.
