Reassigned to an Existing School?

If your student will be in grade 4 or 5 in the 2008-09 school year and is reassigned from an existing school to an existing school, you can take advantage of grandfathering. Your student can remain at the current school, although you will need to provide transportation. Just file a transfer request between May 15 and June 2 and it will be automatically granted.

This policy also applies to students who currently attend year-round schools by application and are reassigned to a base year-round school.

Reassigned to a New School?

Students who are assigned from an existing school to new school can take advantage of grandfathering if they will be in grade 5 in 2008-09. The same conditions listed above apply to those transfers.

The new schools for 2008-09 are: Laurel Park, Mills Park and Sycamore Creek.
