Over its 25-year history, the Wake County public School system has welcomed audits and studies performed by a number of professional organizations and citizen groups. The latest study, Quality Matters 2001, was released by the Wake Education Partnership. Conducted by local businesspersons, the report supported the findings of previous audits: The school system operates in a lean and efficient manner, delivers top notch results, and is an excellent steward of the taxpayers' investment.
