East Cary Middle School students and staff have been deeply involved in a “One Book-One School” literacy project. Teachers and students fell in love with the book Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie.
Students are buzzing in the hall and cafeteria about characters from the novel, clubs are busy with fund raising events for charities, and teachers have written lesson plans across the curricula, which incorporate themes from the book.
