The Wake NC State STEM Early College High School opens with its first class of 55 ninth graders on the campus of NC State University on August 8.
Principal Rob Matheson has assembled the staff and held orientation for his students. They move into a building undergoing final renovations that is between the McKimmon Center and Joyner Visitor Center off Western Boulevard in Raleigh.
