WCPSS Child Nutrition Services mailed the meal benefits applications to year-round school families the week of July 4.
Marilyn Moody, CNS Director, says CNS mailed the applications for free and reduce priced meals directly to families, instead of sending them home the first day of school. Moody wants to make sure all families have the opportunity to apply for benefits. Schools have additional copies of the forms. Child Nutrition Services staff can help families complete the form. Parents can return the completed forms to their schools.
There will be another mailing in August to the families with children attending traditional calendar schools.
