Families with high school students who have begun to investigate college can find lots of information at 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the Wake County College and Post Secondary Opportunity Fair held at the McKimmon Center at NC State University.
Representatives from over 100 colleges, universities, community colleges and all military institutions will be available to answer questions from parents and students.
There are free sessions on financial aid and college planning.
The fair is sponsored by Counseling and Student Services of the Wake County Public School System, Carolina Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers of NC State University
The event draws large crowds and it helps to arrive early to take advantage of all that’s offered. The fair provides an easy way to visit representatives of a number of colleges in a short period of time at one place.
The College Board website offers some ideas on the college search.
