Cary High is known as the first public high school in the state. The school has evolved moving from its beginnings at the end of Academy Street in the late 1800s to the site on Walnut Street in the 1960s where its located today.
We talked with graduates of Cary High to hear from them about the rich tradition and memories they have of a school that first incorporated in 1896. You can hear from Doug Holleman, Class of 1941; Bob Heater, Class of 1947; and Kurt Glendenning, Class of 1980.
