Principal Bob Smith says the new Mills Park Middle School is state-of-the-art 2010.
Smith started months ago as the school’s first employee and as the building has been completed, he’s worked to build the faculty and prepare them for August 25 when the school opens to students for the first time.

Mills Park Middle Principal Bob Smith has devoted a wall in his office to memorabilia from his days at LSU.
The school has a cafetorium with space for performances and meetings.
The school’s new media center provides space for computer research, as well as a well- stocked library of books.
The main hall runs the length of the building and receives lots of natural light.
