14 WCPSS magnet schools were recognized among the top magnet schools in the nation by the Magnet Schools of America.
Principals and leaders of the 14 schools were congratulated by the Board of Education at its latest meeting. Honored as Schools of Distinction were Hunter Elementary where David Newkirk is principal and Washington Elementary where Peggy Beasley-Rodgers is principal.
