Ligon Magnet Middle Orchestra teacher Ruth Johnsen created a happening earlier this month for her students.
Johnsen with the help of Ligon Arts Boosters commissioned an original musical composition for two orchestras to perform together, recruited a fellow orchestra teacher at the NC School of Science and Math and performed the music earlier this month.
The orchestras performed in their own auditoriums and pumped the video and audio of the other group into their auditorium so they could perform together.
