Rachel’s Challenge at Ligon Magnet Middle

Students at Ligon Magnet Middle School will learn about Rachel Scott in a Dec. 16 Rachel’s Challenge presentation at the school. A community event will follow that evening for parents and neighbors who want to understand the program.

Rachel Scott was one of the students killed at Columbine High School in April 1999. Rachel’s acts of kindness and compassion coupled with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for the school program Rachel’s Challenge.

Patty Coskran, a Ligon school counselor, talks about the program and what it will mean for the students and community.
