Applying to Wake Early College of Health and Sciences

The Wake Early College of Health and Science is a small school with a special course of study. The school is a partnership between the Wake County Public School System, Wake Technical Community College and WakeMed.

The Early College is located on Wake Technical Community College’s Health Sciences Campus and North Campus. The school’s course offerings are focused around the theme of health and science careers. Students simultaneously fulfill requirements for a high school diploma and a two-year associate degree with Wake Technical Community College in a five-year program.

Principal Teresa Pierrie says now is the time for the families of eighth grade students to consider the Early College for their rising freshmen. The admission process starts with an application that must be submitted to the WCPSS Magnet Office by January 15, 2010.
