Gardening at Carnage

Carnage Magnet Middle School has received a $2,500 grant from Partners for Environmental Justice. The grant was awarded to Principal David Schwenker and Botany teacher Jodi Knapp following a Big Sweep litter clean up event by Carnage students at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center.

Knapp is the Botany teacher at Carnage who works with students in the school’s gardens and green house.

Knapp and her students have created a wetlands area in their school gardens and can compare it to the nearby Walnut Creek Wetland Center.
