First Day Bus Stop Conversation

Six students who live on Mordecai Street in Raleigh had a special visitor at their bus stop on the first day of school. Gov Beverly Perdue talked with the students and their parents at the stop and then took the bus ride with the students to Conn Elementary.

One of the parents was Debbie Thome, mother of two of the Conn Elementary students. After Gov. Perdue and the children left, Thome talked about a first day of school that her children will long remember.
