Wilburn Elementary has piloted the Teacher Advancement Program in the past year.
At the October 6 meeting of the Board of Education, board member Eleanor Goette congratulated Wilburn principal Jennifer Carnes and the school's staff for their work in becoming the first school in the state to implement the Teacher Advancement Program.
Principal Carnes talked with the school board about the program and how its worked.
