This upcoming Monday, October 19 Lake Myra Elementary and its PTA will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the school's first year of opening.
Lake Myra is one of three new WCPSS schools that opened for the 2009-10 school year. Located in Wendell, the school opened on July 7 on the year-round calendar serving 500 students in grades K - 5. The program, led by Principal Jim Argent, starts at 6:30 p.m. and will include performances from the Lake Myra Otters.
