Athens Drive Band to Host Western Carolina University Marching Band Clinic

Western Carolina University's "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band will be holding a FREE clinic for all Wake County High School band students on Friday, October 30 at Athens Drive High.

The clinic begins promptly at 3:00 p.m. at Athens Drive High School Football Stadium and ends at 4:30 p.m., so please arrive with plenty of time to park and be ready to play at 3:00 p.m. Students (including guard) should bring their own instruments and equipment. Instruments for Front ensemble players will be provided. We are asking that each school that plans to send students also send at least one chaperone. The clinic will conclude with a private performance of The Pride of The Mountains 2009 show "Born to Be Alive."

To help with planning, please let us know a rough estimate of the number of students we can expect from your school by October 25th. We'd like to encourage students to wear their 2009 marching band "show" t-shirt if they have one. Hope to see you there!
