Higher State Reading Standards Mean Fewer Students Proficient

The State Board of Education has set new reading expectations. Results of state testing will reflect these reset standards with fewer students across the state and in our schools at proficiency. The state plans to release the results Thursday.
Dr. Donna Hargens, WCPSS Chief Academic Officer, says WCPSS students and families will be affected by these reset standards.
