Honors and recognitions were handed out to social studies leaders at a meeting of Wake County Public School System middle and high school teachers.
Melinda Stephani, the WCPSS Senior Administrator for Social Studies Instruction, presented a special recognition to Ruth Chell who is retiring after 36 years as a teacher. Chell talks about teaching social studies and teaching at Ligon Middle School.
