U.S. Surgeon General Steven Galson visited Wake County and Barwell Road Elementary School today to promote the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Childhood Overweight and Obesity Prevention Initiative, "Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future."
Ann Dishong is the WCPSS administrator who oversees our Health Education instruction. We talked about childhood obesity and what students learn about nutrition and fitness.
