Every school year, Wake County Public School System principals work to match resources with students. The principals look at the number of teachers and the classroom spaces in assigning students to classes. As students arrive and depart during the school year, it has an impact on class size.
The Board of Education heard in its committee of the whole meeting today from Area Superintendent Danny Barnes and principals James Overman and Shane Barham about creating classes and managing class size.
