Do I have to register my kindergartner on February 7? Not at all. Historically kindergarten registration begins the first Thursday in February, which this year is February 7. Children may be registered any time after that, even into the new school year. The benefits of doing it early in February include having staff or parent volunteers available specifically for that purpose. Magnet/Calendar Applications are also available from February 11 to the 29, 2008 and you must first register at your base school before applying.
