An art teacher at Phillips High School has been working to tie African culture, art and character education together. You can see the effort imprinted on displays at the school, trash cans in downtown Raleigh and on the lives of his students.
Teacher Scott Renk and two of his students talk about a multi-cultural arts program that brings together drumming, dancing and art and helps relay the WCPSS character traits of courage, self-discipline, perseverance, integrity, respect, responsibility kindness and good judgment to the community.
