Character education is built into instruction in schools across Wake County. At Northwoods Elementary School, the students are learning about the character trait of courage by meeting people in uniform. On November 8, students will spend time with Heroes in uniform from the military, law enforcement and emergency services.
Northwoods Counselor Beverly Mitchell talks about Hero Day at Northwoods and students explain their understanding of courage.
