Agreements that will provide an approximate sales tax refund of $12 million over the course of the next three years have been approved and executed by the Wake County Board of Education and the Wake County Board of Commissioners.
In legal agreements reached by the school board and county commissioners, purchases and contracts made as part of the $1 billion school construction program will result in a state sales tax refund.
WCPSS Chief Business Officer David Neter explains the agreement that provides this savings.
