At its August 7 meeting, the Board of Education named principals for Leesville Road Elementary and Leesville Road Middle School
The board named Cecilia Chapman principal of Leesville Road Elementary and Patti Hamler principal of Leesville Road Middle School.
Chapman has served as assistant principal of Adams Elementary since 2005. Prior to that, she served as assistant principal intern and a teacher at Farmington Woods Elementary.
Hamler has served as principal of middle and high schools in Pasquotank County, NC since 1997. Prior to that, he worked as a high school assistant principal, middle school dean of students and middle school teacher in Norfolk, Va.
The board named new assistant principals including Margie Fowler at West Lake Middle, Ellen May at North Ridge Elementary, Wallace Sellars at Wakefield Middle, Tam Smith at Lufkin Road Middle, Steven Rhodes at Salem Middle, and Kevin Rowsey at Martin Middle. Sam Gharbo was named 50 percent assistant principal and 50 percent instructional resource teacher at West Millbrook Middle.
