At its February 20 meeting, the Board of Education named two new principals and a new administrator. The board named Sylvia Faulk principal of Wakefield Elementary and Wanza Cole principal of West Cary Middle School. Kendra Hill was named a Senior Director in Employee Relations for WCPSS Human Resources.
-Faulk served as principal of Lynn Road Elementary since 2002. Prior to that, she worked as assistant principal and teacher at Wilburn Elementary for six years. She was a teacher at North Ridge Elementary, Kingswood Elementary and West Millbrook Middle School and in other NC school districts.
-Cole served as assistant principal of Garner High School since 2003. She was a teacher at North Garner Middle, West Lake Middle, and East Cary Middle. Prior to that, she worked in marketing and engineering in Research Triangle Park.
-Hill served as assistant legal counsel for the NC School Boards Association since 1998. Prior to that, she worked as a lawyer for the NC School Boards Association and in private practice.
The board named John Rollack as assistant principal at Cary High; Elaine Rogers assistant principal at Cary High; and Kerry Chisnall as assistant principal at East Cary Middle School.
