The Wake County PTA Council honored teachers, volunteers and businesses in their annual awards program last night.
Lisa Spalding of Green Hope Elementary was named Elementary School Principal Of The Year. Kenneth Branch of Centennial Campus Middle was named Middle School Principal Of The Year.
Joan Small of Green Hope Elementary was named Elementary School Teacher Of The Year. Mollie Dibble of Fuquay-Varina Middle was named Middle School Teacher Of The Year. Susan Lobasso of Cary High was named High School Teacher Of The Year.
Penny Road Elementary, East Millbrook Middle and Broughton High were honored as Outstanding PTA Units. Cindy Jones of Lead Mine Elementary, Lisa Greene of Carnage Middle and Cindy Jones of Broughton High were named Outstanding PTA Volunteers.
Cindy Smith was sworn in as the new president of the Wake County PTA Council. Smith is a registered nurse and longtime PTA volunteer.
