The Wake County Board of Education made incorrect termination payments consisting of accrued vacation, accrued longevity and regular pay to terminated employees.
Status
The Board recalculated and reimbursed the employees identified as being improperly paid immediately subsequent to the finding. Management believes that the findings were isolated. Management has increased the supervisory monitoring of the payroll technician identified.
