Application/System Architecture | Crisis Planning/Business Continuity & Recovery | Operations

- Responsible for delivering sound and optimized application architecture on projects.
- Provides technical leadership to the development team in resolving development and implementation issues.
- Develops common design patterns and documents best practices that enable consistent architecture across the enterprise.
- Documents all aspects of architecture including but not limited to data, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, security, etc.

- Responsible for the development and implementation of a business continuity plan including off-site data storage.
- Responsible for development and implementation of a disaster recovery plan allowing for retrieval of data stored off site and the ability under our current contract to recover Oracle financial applications, NCWISE and IDMS.

- Processes support requests from Customer Support Services, Systems, Network and applications.
- Monitors hardware/databases to ensure that unexpected service interruptions are kept to a minimum. The primary systems maintained and operated are Mainframe Z/800 (SIS), Sun 12k (NCWISE/UERS), RISC/6000 (Oracle/UERS) and AS400 (UERS/HRMS/BUDsystem).
- Provides disk to tape backups of all applications on servers and mainframe ensuring system failure recovery and restores files from tape to disk as needed.
