Mrs. Moore-Kerr, Assistant Principal
I am excited to be your Assistant Principal!
I came to Vandora with 12 years of teaching experience all from Title I schools and 5 years of administrative experience from Magnet/Title I, traditional, and Year Round settings. I obtained my Political Science and Elementary Education degrees from North Carolina Central University. Go Eagles! My Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education and School Administration (as a Principal Fellow) were both obtained from Fayetteville State University. I have taught in Richmond County (NC), Prince Georges County (MD), and Wake County (in a Garner area school).
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Marcus for 15 years. We have three beautiful children Taylor, Jordyn, and Nyles, all whom have attended Garner area schools.
My priority is to ensure that all students attending Vandora Springs receive the best education through exposure to rigorous activities, scaffolded so that they have success. I believe with all my heart that all children can and do learn. It is my vision to continue in partnership with families to grow students’ qualities so profoundly that they demonstrate greatness throughout their lives.
I look forward to meeting each of you this school year. I maintain an open door policy and encourage each of you to stop by and get to know me.
