Use this link to the Online School Payment system to pay for your field trip. Locate your teacher name and add it to your cart. You can pay for multiple children using this system.
The number of parent volunteers varies for each trip. Your child's teacher will let you know how many parents are permitted to accompany the class on each trip. Parents are required to have WCPSS volunteer clearance prior to attending as a chaperone. Volunteer clearance can take several weeks to process so you will need to apply for this as soon as possible to ensure that you have been cleared. Siblings are not permitted to attend field trips with the class. Parent volunteers are responsible for paying for their own admittance fees.
Students must ride the WCPSS school bus to and from the field trip. Parents must provide their own transportation. The school bus will leave DDE at 9:30 a.m. and leave the field trip location around 12:30 p.m. Parent volunteers must agree to stay with the class the entire length of time. Lunch times will vary depending on the trip. Your child's teacher will share specific information about lunch times prior to each trip. A charter bus will be used for the Wilmington field trip on April 28, 2017. The bus will depart DDES at 6:30 a.m. and will return at about 6:00 p.m.
