Mrs. Amy Marley
Mrs. Marley grew up in Connecticut and Virginia before attending James Madison University where she earned her M.A. and M.Ed. She began the first six years of her teaching career in Fairfax County, VA and relocated to Raleigh, NC in 1999. Mrs. Marley has certification in K-12 Reading, K-12 Learning Disabilities, and Birth-Kindergarten. She has taught in both classroom and resource settings and is a contributor to various curriculum projects and initiatives.
Mrs. Marley began teaching at Forest Pines in 2011 when her twin daughters started kindergarten. She has worked part-time in various roles including K-2 Literacy Coach, Tier II Intervention Teacher, and Cross-Categorical Resource Teacher. Mrs. Marley is excited to begin her new role as K-5 Literacy Coach.
When not at school, Mrs. Marley enjoys fun times with her twin daughters, Mary Carleton and Catherine, and husband Bill. Their favorite place is the beach where they can often be found walking on the beach, trying out new recipes, and of course, reading.
