About Our School
Wildwood Forest Elementary is located on 8401 Wild Wood Forest Drive in Raleigh. Our school was named accordingly due to the fact that we are nestled in the trees that surround our campus.
At Wildwood Forest, we place a strong emphasis on the academic performance of our students. We have incorporated the EL literacy program fully implemented in grades 2nd-5th to promote consistent literacy practices across grade levels and to instill the love of reading in our students. Math and Science are taught using a hands-on approach to allow students to develop concepts through active engagement. Teachers provide differentiation in all classes to meet the needs of all students who require remediation or enrichment. Students are also broadening 21st Century skills in the classroom. Most of our classrooms are equipped with Smart TV's to enrich instruction and motivate students through computer technology.
At Wildwood Forest, we promote positive behavior in our school by implementing PBIS or Positive Behavior Intervention Support. Our school recognizes students who are following school rules/procedures and who demonstrate Wolf P.R.I.D.E. This is our acronym which stands for Politeness, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence. Our school was named a PBIS Exemplar School in 2009 for our implementation of PBIS.Extracurricular Activities
