Ms. Charity Potts-Rawls
My name is Charity Potts-Rawls. I was born in Savannah, GA, but was raised in Fort Bragg, NC; yes, I was a military kid. I attended Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC from 2002-2005 and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I also graduated in 2012 from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA with a Master’s of Arts degree in Human Services with a cognate in Family and Marriage Counseling. I have been a licensed special education and elementary education teacher for 10 years. This school year will mark my 11th year in education as a teacher.
I am married to a loving husband, Darin Rawls, and together we have 3 beautiful children: Ta’Janae, 15, Kaydra, 10, and Darin II “DJ”, 7. We currently reside in Garner, NC and have been living in this area for 4 years. This is my fourth year as a teacher in Wake County and my third year as a teacher at Walnut Creek Elementary School. I have also taught in Cumberland and Harnett Counties in NC. I look forward to working with everyone this school year!
