Reminder: traditional calendar schools will be in session on May 30 and June 2 to make up for days missed due to inclement weather.

Inclement Weather
Instructions

In case of snow or other dangerous weather or emergency situations, a decision may be made to close or delay school. These decisions are made after the National Weather Service and local weather bureaus have been consulted. As soon as a decision is made, local radio and television stations are notified and a notice is posted on this Website.

If school days are missed for *inclement weather, the order of inclement weather makeup days will be April 21, 2003, February 17, 2003, May 26, 2003, March 14, 2003, and January 3, 2003.

Personnel earn vacation at a rate determined by years of service. Ten-month employees with less than 2 years of service earn 10 vacation days, which are built into the calendar. Employees take vacation as approved by the principal or supervisor. Sick leave is earned at a rate of one day per month of employment.

Religious Holidays

Per Board Policy 6000.3F: An absence is excused for religious observance, as suggested by the religion of the student or the student's parents.

Per Board Policy 6000.5: For all absences, the student shall make up all work in a timely manner at the convenience of the teacher. The make up work may be specified material missed by the student, reinforcement, or enrichment.

Per Board Policy 6000.2F, Regulation and Procedures: The law provides principals with the latitude to determine when the cumulative effect of such absences is of such duration as to interfere with the education of the student.
