Superintendent Search

The Wake County Board of Education is searching for a new Superintendent of Education since Bill McNeal has announced plans to retire from the job on June 30, 2006.

At its Jan. 31, 2006 meeting, the Board of Education reviewed the results of the superintendent search surveys conducted Jan. 12-24 and developed a list of characteristics and skills the board desired to see in a new Superintendent. The board reviewed the following summaries of the surveys and developed its own list of characteristics and skills it desired to see in a new superintendent.
