Knightdale High School will open in August 2004. The first year we will open with 9th and 10th grade students only. Knightdale High School is located in the Town of Knightdale NC with a town population of 6, 250. The school is located off US Hwy 64 East at 100 Bryan Chalk Lane. Our school colors are black and gold. We will decide on a school mascot within the next couple of weeks. We have already developed collaborative relationships with community governmental leadership, merchants and citizens. We will continue to develop partnerships and alliances as the school community develops.
We are creating a new center of community life for the Knightdale community and surrounding communities. Our goal is to develop a school program and culture that is not just a school but a school community. The Knightdale High School will serve as a beacon for the community. We intend to build and maintain strong positive relationships with community partners.
Everything we do will be focused on ensuring success for students. We will develop a full comprehensive high school program that meets the needs of all students. As I begin the process of hiring staff, I am emphasizing to all applicants the importance of understanding that "students come first at Knightdale High School".
We look forward to high academic achievement from the students, professional competence and strong leadership in our staff. The standards will be set high and I expect that all students and staff will meet them.
